Lydia holds a Bachelor of Science in BioPsychology from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Research from The George Washington University. Lydia began her career focused in clinical medicine, but after her own experience as a patient and being involved in a clinical trial, she was inspired to step into the field of clinical and translational research. Lydia has gained expertise through her 20 years in clinical research developing clinical and translational research programs at The Medical College of Wisconsin, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and for the Navy Medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Lydia has a passion for leadership and her expertise lies in operationalizing clinical and translational research programs, pre and post award management, clinical trial design, study feasibility, and process standardization. Lydia has been a part of Genomics Core since 2018.
